Terms & Conditions - General
1. When the client employs Hounds On The Go they will have accepted the following terms and conditions. Hounds On The Go reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions and increase pricing by posting changes on the website, so please check regularly for changes.
2. Information given in the registration form will be used for all subsequent bookings unless Hounds On The Go is notified, in writing, of any changes relating to the client and/or their pet.
3. All information provided to Hounds On The Go will be confidential and will not be passed on to any other third party, unless with the client’s permission.
4. Hounds On The Go will not carry out any training/walking/visits until a Consultation (for training) or a ‘Meet & Greet’ (for walking/visits) with the client has been carried out. And the contract, with full details of the clients requirements, has been signed by the client.
5. Payment for all services with Hounds On The Go is required, in full, at the time of booking.
6. Hounds On The Go charges are shown on the website for all standard services. Bespoke services will be charged on an individual basis and all charges must be agreed with both the client & Hounds On The Go before confirmation of your booking.
7. Where services are provided on a long-term basis, Hounds On The Go require 4 weeks’ notice if you wish to cancel your contract. Should 4 weeks’ notice of cancellation not be received, in writing, by Hounds On The Go, the full charges of the agreed service will be payable.
8. Hounds On The Go aim to arrive at the clients home, or previously agreed meeting place, at the agreed time of your session/walk/visit, but due to the nature of the business, Hounds On The Go cannot always guarantee this. Hounds On The Go will contact the client as soon as they are aware that there will be a delay.
9. The client must contact Hounds On The Go as soon as they are aware that there will be a delay to the previously session/walk/visit.
10. In the event of an emergency before a booking has started, resulting in Hounds On The Go being unable to complete our agreement, Hounds On The Go will endeavour to provide satisfactory alternative arrangements. In the event of a problem or an emergency arising during a booking, Hounds On The Go will make every attempt to contact the client or the clients emergency contact using the information provided on the registration form.
11. Full disclosure is expected of the client’s dog(s) past and current behaviour, including, but not limited to, any bite history, resource guarding, separation anxiety, aggressive or dangerous behaviour that has the potential to harm or injure any other dog or individual, this is to best assist you and protect Hounds On The Go staff and others.
12. The client must ensure that their dog(s) are in good health & take any necessary measures and precautions to ensure that their dog(s) is continuously free of contagious, infectious, or otherwise communicable diseases. The client further agrees to notify Hounds On The Go immediately of any infectious and/or contagious disease or condition that their dog(s) has been exposed to or is affected by. The client is to ensure that their dog(s) is fully vaccinated and on a regular flea and worm control regime and have been vaccinated for Kennel Cough.
13. If the client notices the dog(s) coughing they are to contact Hounds On The Go immediately. Any dog(s) coughing will not be walked, and no refund will be given.
14. The client must ensure that their dog(s) wears an ID tag and is microchipped. This is also a requirement by law.
15. It is strongly recommended that the client has dog insurance with cover including third party liability.
16. No variation of these Terms and Conditions will have an effect unless confirmed by Hounds On The Go in writing.
17. The client may request to see Hounds On The Go’s disclosure certificates, first aid qualifications, or insurance policy at any time.
18. Any photos and/or videos taken while the client’s dog(s) are in Hounds On The Go’s care will be available on Hounds On The Go’s social media pages and website and will become Hounds On The Go’s intellectual property. If you do not wish for this to happen, please inform Hounds On The Go.
Terms & Conditions – Training
1. Cancellations received by Hounds On The Go up to seven days prior to the commencement of the agreed start date and time will be accepted and no charges will be incurred. Should seven days’ notice of cancellation not be received, in writing, by Hounds On The Go, the full charges of the agreed service will be payable.
2. Unfortunately, in all cases, refunds cannot be issued after the commencement of a training program except in occasional exceptional circumstances as decided by Hounds On The Go. Transfers to other parties are not permitted but may be possible for another dog owned by the client in their household. Any sessions that the client fails to attend without seven days’ notice will be charged in full and must subsequently be re-booked at full cost.
3. Harsh or aversive means of control or training are never permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of choke chains, prong collars, shock collars, e-collars, coercive or punitive techniques, the use of water soakers/pistols, rattle bottles etc. They are prohibited during training sessions and walking and Hounds On The Go strongly request that they are never used in the future. If the client is found to be using any of these methods outside of training sessions and walking, Hounds On The Go reserve the right to cancel all future bookings due to a lack of alignment with their values, commitment to dog welfare, and damage to Hounds On The Go brand ideals and no refund will be given.
4. Under no circumstances will responsibility be taken for misinterpretation of advice provided by Hounds On The Go. Hounds On The Go cannot guarantee the success of training sessions due to external factors and programme adherence, which may affect behaviour. Treatment of negative behaviour will be approached with behavioural consultations. The treatment of these behaviours is not guaranteed to be successful in fully controlling the behaviour and if extinguished, the behaviour may arise again in the future and require re-treatment.
5. Clients are responsible for the conduct of their dog at all times, especially in a public environment. Hounds On The Go are there to assist with the dog(s), but they remain the clients responsibility.
6. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure the safety of people and other animals exposed to their dog(s). Hounds On The Go cannot take responsibility for dogs behaviour outside of training sessions.
7. If the client’s dog(s) damages or destroys any training equipment the client will be liable for the cost.
8. Children are welcome to attend training sessions, however, those under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. It is often valuable to discuss the benefits of the training sessions and how important the child’s focus and behaviour is to the dog(s) and their training prior to the child’s attendance.
9. Clients are expected to always clean up after their dog and have poo disposal bags with them to ensure this.
Terms & Conditions – Walking, Let-outs, Feeding/Social Visits and Grooming/Vet Transport
1. Cancellations received by Hounds On The Go up to 48 hours prior to the commencement of the agreed start date and time will be accepted and no charges will be incurred. Should 48 hours’ notice of cancellation not be received, in writing, by Hounds On The Go, the full charges of the agreed service will be payable.

3. All dogs being walked will undergo a trial period to ensure that they are adequately trained and socialised. Hounds On The Go reserves the right to refuse walking services to any dog(s) deemed, in their absolute discretion, to be or have the potential to be dangerous or disruptive.
4. Hounds On The Go reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time and with immediate effect if the dog(s) does not respond well to the walker and/or other dog(s). Any dog(s) showing any form of aggression towards other dogs, or the dog walker will not be walked and no refund will be given.
5. Hounds On The Go will endeavour to care for the clients dog(s) as the client would, and whilst Hounds On The Go will make every effort to ensure the client’s dog(s) is well looked after while in their care, Hounds On The Go cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death, either inside or outside the clients home.
6. The walker will apply personal judgement and cut short a walk, if necessary, because of extreme weather conditions i.e. heat, thunder storms etc. for the safety of both the dog(s) and the walker.
7. Hounds On The Go will only let dogs off the lead once an ‘Off The Lead’ consent form has been signed and will remain at the discretion of Hounds On The Go staff.
8. Hounds On The Go offer services where dogs co-mingle in groups and the client accepts that during the course of normal dog play, their dog may sustain injuries. All dog play is carefully monitored to avoid injury, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, and other injuries may occur, despite the best supervision. Hounds On The Go accepts no liability of any injures incurred to the clients dog(s) while in their care.
9. Hounds On The Go will take every measure to ensure that the clients home is safe and secure in their absence, however Hounds On The Go will not be liable for any vandalism, damage or break-in to the clients property during the period of service.
10. Any keys provided to Hounds On The Go, when not in use, will be kept in a locked key safe. Keys will not be marked with any client name, pet name, address, or phone number.
11. Hounds On The Go will endeavour to carry out the instructions on the care of the client’s pet(s) as detailed on their registration form. Hounds On The Go will not be responsible if full instructions are not given in advance of commencement of service.
12. If Hounds On The Go believes the clients dog(s) is not in good health, Hounds On The Go reserve the right to seek veterinary advice on the clients behalf and the client will be liable for incurred veterinary fees.
13. Hounds On The Go is fully insured by Protectivity. However, this insurance doesn’t cover veterinary care for pre-existing or ongoing injuries or illness. The client is responsible for the full cost of treatment of any injuries or illness that their dog(s) receives while under the care of Hounds On The Go, together with any associated costs e.g. call-out charges. The client authorises Hounds On The Go to seek such veterinary advice and/or treatment as they deem necessary. Where possible this will be carried out by the clients usual/preferred vet, but this cannot be guaranteed e.g. in an emergency the client accepts that Hounds On The Go may, at their discretion, use any registered vet. The client agrees to pay all incurred costs immediately upon collection of their dog(s) or by agreement with Hounds On The Go.
14. The client must provide all items necessary for the dog(s) to be adequately cared for while in Hounds On The Go’s care (i.e. food, medication, leads, harnesses, collars etc). Should the dog(s) require any additional supplies whilst in the care of Hounds On The Go, these will be purchased and the client agrees to pay for these immediately upon collection of their dog(s).
15. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that all collars/harnesses are fitted correctly to prevent slipping and are in good condition to prevent breakage that could result in the dog(s) becoming loose.
16. The client agrees that Hounds On The Go is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged leads, collars, harnesses, tags, clothing or any other item left with their dog(s).
17. If there is an unforeseen delay, caused by the client, prior to or following a period of service, Hounds On The Go will continue to care for the dog(s) until notified otherwise. Additional charges will be incurred and are payable in full upon the clients return.
18. The client agrees to provide keys/arrange access to the dog for the agreed appointment; failure to do so will result in a cancellation for that day’s service but will still incur the full charge for the service.
19. The client agrees that, by signing the ‘Key Wavier’ form, this will indemnify Hounds On The Go in full against any liability arising from loss or damage to the property or it’s contents, in present and future circumstances.
20. The client is to make Hounds On The Go aware if they are away and are using a dog sitting service. The client is to provide Hounds On The Go with the dog sitters details and ensure that the dogs tag has the dog sitters details on it.
21. The client accepts that even though their dog(s) is vaccinated against Kennel Cough there is a chance that their dog(s) can still contract Kennel Cough. The client agrees that they will not hold Hounds On The Go responsible if their dog(s) contracts Kennel Cough while in Hounds On The Go care.
22. The client agrees to ensure their dog(s) has not eaten in the hour before being picked up by Hounds On The Go to ensure sufficient time to digest food before any exercise or play. Failure to do so may result in the potentially life-threatening condition Bloat (Gastric Torsion).
23. The client is to contact Hounds On The Go prior to the start of any walking if their bitch is in season. Walking of any bitch in season must been arranged, in advance, with Hounds On The Go. Pregnant bitches will not be walked, but let-outs can be arranged.
24. Any client wishing to accompany Hounds On The Go whilst an animal is being transported accepts that they do so at their own risk and that Hounds On The Go does not accept liability for any accident, injury, death or delay incurred during transportation.
